Four die in TN road accident

THANJAVUR: Four people, including two women, died and seven others suffered injuries when a sport utility vehicle (SUV) they were travelling in rammed the parapet of a culvert near Sethubavachathiram in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Y Bhagyaraj, 62, A Gnanambal, 60, M Rani, 40, and M Chinnapandi, 40, of Indra Nagar in Moonavayal village in Tuticorin district, police said.
The accident happened they were proceeding to Velankanni church.
Chief minister M K Stalin announced a solatium of Rs 3 lakh each to the kin of the deceased.
